I will start this review with my feeling that there really is no BAD cruise, but some are better than others. I sailed on MSC SEASIDE in May and was for the most part, very impressed, as that was my first time on MSC. The promotion that tempted me for this trip was just too good to pass up, so we decided to give Divina shot. Regrets, no. Bad cruise, no…Others were better, however.
My experience on MSC Divina was enjoyable however there are some things that future cruisers should keep in mind.
This is a very nice, large (a little older) ship. In my opinion, it was very confusing to get around. It took me several days to begin to get some bearing. There are MANY elevators and some of what I referred to as secret elevators. You really need to study the layout and explore this ship to get around effectively. You WILL probably get lost in the beginning. Don’t worry, you aren’t alone. That being said, I did not experience long waits for elevators throughout the week, as I had expected. They were pretty fast. It just took time to get from point a to point b as some of the public decks do not connect with each other. (and I dare you to try to find the jogging track!)
Cabin was great. Spacious, clean. A little forward on the deck with a "hull: balcony.
It was good. Actually more privacy with the hull.
TV was horrible. Very small and could not really see it from bed, plus not a good selection of channels and movies. (not many in English either)
We took a taxi to the Walled City. Awesome and beautiful. Walled around all day. Vendors are a little aggressive Taxi Back to the ship. Great :"eco park" at pier. and some shopping
Nice port, stayed at the port. Walked to "village: Saw dolphins. Lots of shopping . Kind of expensive.
Docked at the closest pier. Lots of shopping and restaruants, right there. Easy to walk around the town....
Day pass on our own
