This is only our 2nd cruise, 1st one on RCL. We chose it for the destination and flew from Toronto to Miami 2 days before & stayed in South Beach. The room was comfortable, with plenty of closet space and hangers for 2 of us. Balcony small, but we didn't spend too much time there, as there was so much to see and do around the ship. We enjoyed the shows Burn the Floor and Million Dollar Quartet, as well as the musical entertainment. As mentioned by other cruisers, not enough seating in the Atrium for shows, and the adult pool is always crowded - we only managed to swim once during a port day. Enjoyed the treadmills which faced the ocean and the gym. Didn't go to the casino as there's too much smoke. Ate one night at the Teppaniaki, which was excellent and the rest of the time at the buffet, which had lots of choice, with a different theme each night. The coffee wasn't great, the decaf tasted better, and they had different teas. We had a free onboard credit and even got some money back as we didn't use all of it!
Other than the small and crowded adult pool, we thoroughly enjoyed this cruise! Embarkation was very smooth as we were onboard and having lunch by 12:00 pm. Disembarkation was also very prompt and efficient. We shared a taxi with another couple to the airport, so each couple paid $16 instead of $16/each with NCL shuttle.
Was afraid I might get seasick as the cabin was towards front of ship, but I was fine. Cabin was adequate, plenty of storage, as the suitcase easily fits under the bed. Water was very hot and plenty of shelves in bathroom (no bad smell).
Loved the huge pool and facilities in Belize, got to practise my swimming
Didn't get to visit the ruins as it rained when we arrived. Bought some vanilla onshore, but found out they were much cheaper in Cozumel!
We've been to Miami before, so just stayed around South Beach, near Lincoln Rd Mall. We felt very safe walking at night as there's lots of people around. Weather was pleasant, not too hot.
