My husband and brother and sister in-law, left the snow and cold on Feb 19th and flew to Fort Lauderdale two days early and stayed at the Airport Comfort Inn . This hotel has free shuttle service from airport to hotel, and to the pier and also included breakfast. Taco Bell and McDonald's are just next door. There is a plaza across the street where we purchased wine at Kmart for the cruise. We recommend this hotel. Embarkation was a breeze. We arrived at the pier 11:30 a.m. and were on board at noon. Our cabin was ready at 1 p.m. so we headed to lido deck for lunch. Our cabin was great. Nice bathroom, big shower and lots of storage. Bed was comfortable, and we stored the empty suitcases under the bed. TV was GREAT. We watched about 10 free on demand movies. Balcony is nice, two chairs and table. We had room service every morning and had our juice on the balcony. Coffee was very strong. We had to add hot water to doctor it up. Our cabin Steward was John and he was a champ. MDR food was nice. We had table 225 for eight. It was at the back of the MDR and in front of the kitchen. We would have asked for a change, but we had 4 of the nicest dinner mates you could get and decided to stay. I suggest you check out the placement of you table. Entertainment was good, and we ate at the Tuscan Grill and Murano Restaurant. They were wonderful. The Murano has Grand Marina Souffle which was delightful. Ports visited were nice. We didn't book any tours, just checked them out our selves. We found the ship crowded and the wait time for elevators was long. They only have 2 banks of elevators and they always seemed to be full. The pools were small and the area seemed crowded all the time. All in all, in was a lovely cruise.
