We chose this cruise so we could sail with some friends we met on the Crown Princess a few years ago and to celebrate our 12th wedding anniversary. In summary, we loved this cruise! We had a wonderful time. Embarkation was a breeze. Check in took about 10 minutes and then we were personally escorted by a waiter wearing a tux with white gloves. He showed us around a bit and then took us up to our cabin. It was so awesome!! Service was great as always, food was delicious, the ship is beautiful! We had a fantastic forward suite C101. We were treated so well and we felt very special every day. We enjoyed the concierge lounge on deck 14. We used it just about every day to get cappuccino and some snacks. The concierge, Hembert is so nice. He even made Crab Shack reservations for us. We were never able to do it on others sailings so we were thrilled to be able to do it this time. He even sent us chocolate covered strawberries when we told him it was our anniversary. What a nice and unexpected treat. We took the Behind the Scenes tour and we both agreed it was well worth the fee per person. It was very interesting and the goody bags we received were fantastic! Club Class dining was nice but honestly it isn't much different than regular dining. It came with our suite so we used it but we probably wouldn't book Club Class again unless it was included. We opted for Anytime Dining which worked out great on port days as well as busy ship activity days. Alfredo's Pizza was outstanding as was the service. Horizon buffet had lots of choices at lunch. It was hard to pick what to eat. It was always well stocked and very clean. Our sailing had about 1,000 people less than usual so it was easy to find a seat and easy to maneuver around the buffet and pool area. We don't really do the shows so I cannot comment too much on this. We did see Travis Turpin who is a talented musician and impersonator. He was really, really good. We watched the band a few times in the Atrium/Piazza area and they were also really good. We played music trivia once and it was OK. It's definitely geared towards the older set so we didn't know a lot of the music but it was mostly fun. Movies under the stars was good. We watched Deadpool 2, Ant Man and the Wasp and Life of the Party. All great movies. We absolutely loved our cruise and would sail with Princess again. In fact, we booked the Pacific Princess for a 2 week cruise next year. So excited!!!

Cabin Review

Premium Suite with Balcony

Cabin S5

Please note that this suite is on deck 10 (Caribe) and all way forward. If you have a hard time walking or want to be closer to the action, this is not the cabin for you. It is HUGE! There was plenty of storage. The slanted wall in the bedroom is really neat and the window lets in so much light. The bathroom has a full tub and a separate shower and then there is a separate water closet with a sink. We only had neighbors on the sitting room side and we barely heard them. It was very quiet most of the time. We could hear machinery running on port days in the morning but it wasn't horrible. The balcony is narrow but a decent size and it is covered. Overall, it was a great suite and we would book it again. The complementary mini bar set up was nice. We don't really drink and we didn't realize that we could have it switched out with non alcoholic beverages until it was too late. We know for next time. We were supposed to get canapes delivered daily but we only got them a few times. No complaints since there was food just about everywhere we turned!
