Chose this cruise because of the itinerary as we had always wanted to visit St Maarten. The price seemed good and the ship looked gorgeous( which it is) However thats where the niceties end. One passenger commented that it seemed like it was a training ship because very few of the crew were polite, smiling or capable in fact on the day of one excursion one French female crewmember was SCREAMING at the passengers to go to the deck above 5 when in fact we'd been told go exit the ship on deck 4, we were all escorted by another inexperienced looking crew member to deck 4 to exit the ship. She still couldn't help herself and barked orders to the passengers, to cover up her screw up.

We were amazed there was no caribbean night but there was an Italian night ( go figure) we were cruising the caribbean afterall.

Staff treated some passengers differently to others ie less respectful. The main restaurant was like a free for all but at least our restaurant Seashore was beautifully decorated and the food delicious I also think we must have had the only 5 star waiter Gerald Garcia who was so welcoming, professional and amusing whereas most of the staff looked disinterested, overworked and kept getting things wrong. Our cabin 15123 was in a good viewing position but the scraping of chairs from the restaurant above was a nightmare along with the Spanish family next door whose only way or communicating with each other was to shout and slam furniture around. God only knows what was happening underneath as there was an infrequent boom boom boom. Reported these problems to 'customer relations' and apart from mentioning they would look to retrain ( looks like there was no training at all) NOTHING was done. Our ship was filled with a high proportion of Latin customers who seemed hell bent in getting into everything first and as loudly as they could.

In the main restaurant there was a decent choice of food, but it would not rock anybodies world.

Overal this operation was amateurish at best several passengers openly saying service terrible and they would never sail with them again. Neither will we

Cabin Review

Fantastica Balcony Stateroom
Cabin B2 15123

Nice cabin very small overhang which meant pictures were dark unless you had a really good camera but views unobstructed.

LOTS OF NOISE from restaurant above scraping of chairs etc. The restaurant is open LATE. Lot of Latin tv channels American CNN also available. Pay mini bar in the room along with very SMALL safe

Our cabin boy was very attentive and polite keeping our stateroom very clean

Island Tour

We had always wanted to see this Island but the coach was late and everything was rushed barely got a chance to buy a fridge magnet much less shop. Ground handler made everyone stand in twos so she could count us THREE times whilst standing in the hot sun.

We saw stuff from the bus but got precious little time to do anything
