I traveled on the 11.17.18 sailing of the NLC Breakaway and was an extremely disappointing experience. The boat felt extremely crowded and oversold. My wife and I were on our first experience with NCL and can not imagine returning based on this experience. We had a Spa Balcony room with the drink and specialty dinning packages. We were unable to prebook our specialty dinning options and once on board everyone was sold out for the duration of the sailing. When contacted Guest Services, we were informed we could "use our options at lunchtime for Margaritaville." The wait times at the bars on board the ship were often times over twenty minuets to get a simple beer due to the lack of staffing so it felt. The overall service levels in all aspects of the ship were below expectations. We did have an attentive cabin steward but was the extent of the positive hospitality we saw on the ship. On return, i contacted customer service, waited over thirty minuets on the phone, and was unable to get any actual help other than they will have to contact the ship and call me back. When I filled out the online help request the note at the end states to allow 15 business days for a response.

Cabin Review

Spa Balcony Stateroom

Cabin B9

The Cabin was as expected, small and cramped but, we did have a skilled steward who took good care of us and our needs.

Port Reviews

Harvest Caye

The resort was amazing, though our time was cut short due to a storm which came. I wish I had been able to spend two days here skipping Belize City in full. The staff were warm, friendly, and welcoming much more so than the staff on board the ship.

Costa Maya

The city seemed dirty and i did not feel safe leaving the enclosed portion of the port. The jeweler's outside of the enclosed area were scam artists at their best selling fake stones.
