Sail Date: Feb 2010

We have previously cruised on NCL and Royal Caribbean & thoroughly enjoyed all five cruises. After a 6-year hiatus, we decided to sail on Celebrity because of the reputation, reviews & desire for a more upscale experience. Parts of the cruise were very nice, but we did not have the wonderful cruise we anticipated.

Embarkation was easy and there were venues open for lunch. Our cabin was the smallest we had ever had, although we were in a Concierge-1 class with a balcony. Don't believe the drawing Celebrity has on their website; the coffee table base has to be under the sofa in order to pass through the cabin. When we were in the room we spent most of our time on the balcony; you had to push the table around in order to get in and out. Not quite the spacious room indicated but it did have adequate drawer & storage space. Room stewards were great!

We enjoyed the bars & lounges until the last night, when the staff didn't seem to care anymore. If you want to karaoke on the cruise, you may want to take your own disks. We thought they would have the computer setup so common now, but they had disks and a very limited selection.

Cabin Review

Cabin C-1

Storage not bad; very small space overall. No soot that we noticed; balcony washed each a.m.
