This was my first cruise ever and I came in completely optimistic, but it was an absolute disaster. From the first moment I entered this ship, you are greeted with this musty smell of this aging ship. The smell would soon become the least of my problems as the journey went on.

My interior room was okay but extremely dated. Everything was functional, but the antiquated look was very depressing. They combined both of my twin beds to make it queen sized, but the gap in the middle of the bed was very uncomfortable to sleep in if you like to sleep in the center. You could see how worn the bed sheets were and how desperate they needed to be thrown out. Air conditioning was either really hot or really cold, so it was hard to adjust it to my preferred setting. The lighting was more than adequate. The TV channels were extremely limited. It was almost all advertisements for other RC products trying to make you purchase your next vacation, buy chocolate diamonds, go on Symphony of the Seas, and go to Coco Cay. They did have about 2 sports channels, 2 children channels, 2 news channels. There was nothing truly entertaining to watch for an adult on vacation, which was disappointing to say the least. Try to bring a tablet so you can watch something entertaining. For the restroom the shower size was more than adequate with perfect pressure and hot water. I could hear everything going on the floor below me where the employees were hauling equipment at any hour of the day. Overall the room was a mediocre Motel 6 at best with some redeeming qualities. My stateroom attendant was really attentive and had my room looking fresh twice daily. He was the lucky charm that the room needed.

During my stay my friend and I were harassed on multiple times by security. They accused us of being staff sneaking into guest areas. It was quite offensive that were were the only ones being asked this question every time this happened. Clearly they were profiling us based upon age, ethnicity, and looks to determine that we might possibly be an employee. The security manager was of no help during my complaint and using a lot of politically correct wording to evade the issue. Also, every time I reentered the ship from a port the security would ask me to take my shoes off and try to pat me down, which is what you do to employees and not guests. I always had to inform them that I was a guest and they would back off. What they really should be doing is asking if you are a guest or employee first before making your requests from me to do such. There really seemed to be a lack of training security and a poor excuse for people that I am supposed to trust.
