Sail Date: Feb 2010

We were first time cruisers on the Feb 20, 2010 Celebrity Triumph departure from New Orleans. The lines at the ports were long but we thought the boarding process went faster than expected. We arrived there at about 1130am. People in line were friendly and that made the wait manageable. I'd estimate that we were through the lines and on board in 1hr and 15 mins.

The ship was especially clean and well maintained in all areas. It was quite obvious that the ship was well cared for. It's also obvious how hard the ships crew works. Programs and activities, meals, etc. ran like clockwork so you know that there is behind the scenes planning and work going on 24/7. Our experience was pleasant with crew members who were friendly and outgoing when necessary, and efficient and quiet when needed. Cabin 9274:

Conveniently located on the Lido deck where the buffet areas, pool and open air decks are. This cabin is situated directly across a bank of elevators. The inside deck area overlooks the Atrium with piano bar.

Cabin Review

Cabin Bal

Cabin 9274: Conveniently located on the Lido deck where the buffet areas, pool and open air decks are. This cabin is situated directly across a bank of elevators. The inside deck area overlooks the Atrium with piano bar. The cabin had ample storage space including a safe, closets, drawers, and bathroom cabinet. You might want to bring extra hangers. Decor is dated, but cabin was in good repair. Pepto Bismol pink is the color of your accommodation. Balcony is small but fits 2 people sitting in the chairs comfortably. There is a small table between the chairs. The bed was comfortable for us and the linens were actually nicer than expected. There were extra blankets in the closet as this room converts to having a bunk come down from the ceiling. The cabin is roomy enough for two adults. Adding extras would make it cramped. There is an ice bucket provided and sodas and water. Prices for the soda were lower than at the bar. Bathroom was compact as expected, but plenty roomy. The shower worked well. Shower water gets extremely HOT...make sure you have the exact temp you need prior to getting in it. There is even a warning sign about this. You will find shampoo, and body wash receptacles on the wall of the shower. Bars of soap are also provided. Showering area is small but adequate. Sink area has plenty of counter space and a wall cabinet. A hairdryer with one heat setting (Very HOT) is provided. Drinking glasses are provided. White absorbent towels are provided and replaced by your steward as needed. There are also 2 beach towels provided should you need them on an excursion. You will be charged if they are not returned to your cabin. Lovely white robes are also provided for your use. The television was in good working order. You won't find many channels, but a selection of free movies run throughout the day. The local news is a Colorado station (not sure why). *This particular cabin is in a noisy location directly across from the elevators and main deck hallways. There will be heavy traffic there as a result. If people talking and elevator bells dinging would bother you, then you'll want to get a cabin further away from this activity. Use any plastic card with a magnetic strip (library, health care card, etc.) to open and close your safe as you might want to leave your credit card in the safe for protection.
