I was very excited to see the Symphony having cruised two of her older sisters. There were some challenges with drop-off and parking exacerbated by traveling with two handicapped people. The new terminal is very modern and made for a fairly smooth embarkation. I felt like improvements could be made for handicapped cruisers by up front assistance and special lines, priority curbside drop-off as well as with better signage, for example to the elevators. The ship is beautiful but almost identical to the others in this class with minor exceptions and set apart mainly by art work which is very cool. The cabin design changes were not an improvement to me. Far less shelving for storing things other than clothing. It felt cluttered once we unpacked. Guess I will need an over the door shoe organizer going forward. The dining room was way crowded and hard to navigate with a scooter. The table assigned to 10 was barely comfortable enough for 8. Especially with 3 handicapped people at our table. They could not accommodate moving us at all and it caused one couple in our group to get moved alone, while others chose not to eat in MDR. The service was not perfect but overall excellent however the food was inconsistent and disappointing at times.
