Great group of islands and on a medium sized ship. We made it to San Juan and at 10:00 pm the captain announced that our cruise was being cancelled and we would remain dockside until the ship removed all passengers, transportation would be provided back to Miami. If you could make your own travel arrangements, NCL would reimburse for up to $650. All passengers would receive a full refund and a full credit would be issued toward a future cruise. Starting Monday morning cabin numbers would be called for transportation back to Miami. On Monday there was a Lattiudes meeting and we were informed our points for the cruise would be awarded and they DID NOT confirm the announcement about a full credit toward a future cruise as stated by the captain and on news media also cruise next deposits would be reinstated. This process went on for 2 days, our cabin was NEVER called and we were required to leave on Tuesday afternoon at 5pm and moved to the convention center to wait for our charter flight home. Once at the convention center food & beverage was provided with boarding tags for our flights home. We were on the 1030 flight (last) to Miami. Unfortunately that plane came in with less seats then expected, so NCL offered $500, hotel, food and a 12 noon flight on Wednesday to volunteers. We took the offer and went to the El San Juan Hotel for a very nice overnight. Finally arrived in Miami about 400 on Wednesday and took Tri-rail home. NCL did a great job in making arrangements and getting everyone home. The communication was a bit lacking since only cabin numbers were announced and there was 45 minutes to leave ship for the airport. The follow-up has been lacking, refunds have been posted but NO information about the other offers have been sent to passengers. A follow-up email would seem appropriate. So far no adjustments have been made to MY NCL account.
Aft section of ship, starboard, near rear elevator. Spacious, comfortable with full bath.
Great afternoon/evening in Old San Juan. Positive vibe starting the holdiays.
