I like to cruise with NCL. The NCL Star was recently refurbished and was a beautiful ship. The staff were great and very helpful, always ready to go the extra mile. There were some good shows onboard. Food in the Versailles main dining room was excellent. I upgraded to a balcony room, and would do that again. Our cabin was roomy and having the outdoor private space was wonderfu. The only negative I have at all was that WiFi onboard is a joke. It costs about 50 cents a minute if you buy a package and it takes 20 minutes to download an app. Ridiculous. NCL either needs to give the very slow WiFi away for free or speed it up if they are going to charge so much. I couldn't even access my Google Mail account. Other than the poor WiFi, we loved the NCL Star and like the size of the ship.

Family Balcony

Cabin B3

The room had been recently refurbished and was lovely. Like the compartment style of the bathroom. Tons of storage space and a nice flat screen TV. Balcony was spacious. I like the updated toiletries offered in the bath.

Port Reviews

Curacao

There's lots of lovely little surprise courtyards when wandering around Willemstad. Had a nice lunch at a restaurant that was right on the water. Very colorful and interesting place.

St. Thomas

St. Thomas is still, and probably will always be my favorite island in the Caribbean. Took Jitney to Mountain Top and then to Magens Bay Beach. Hurricane has taken out all the big trees at Magens Bay, but it is still beautiful. 5 Ships in port that day, so it was very busy. Still the most beautiful beach.
