My husband and I are in our early and mid thirties and we travel often, however this was our first and probably our last cruise for a very long time. We chose this cruise based on the ports of call which were fabulous with the exception being Trinidad.

Entertainment: The average age on this cruise was around 80 years old and we found the entertainment was geared towards this age group. The majority of the nightly entertainment was around sing alongs and karaoke. We saw a couple of their shows and they were ok but nothing amazing. It would have been nice to have a variety of entertainment options for all age groups, and no we are not into partying or anything like that (we are not the carnival type). It just would have been nice to have something to go to after 9pm that was no sing along. The ship was pretty much dead after 10:30/11pm. The day time activities were also lacking, one day there was a paper plane flying contest and a watercolor contest. I am an artist and was pretty excited for the watercolor contest, however there were only 6 easles and far too many people wanting to join in. The staff also wouldn’t let you mix colors or anything like that so I opted out. We tried to sign up for steel drum lessons but couldn’t get tickets (they only offer sign up on one day at the beginning of the cruise). The other craft activities could only accommodate 24 people and we were 30th in line so no luck there either. It would have been nice to see some language classes or even a towel folding class. SONETHING would have been better that nothing.

Bathrooms: there are not enough bathrooms around the pool deck or even around the ship for that matter. On the pool deck there was always a line in the ladies room, and usually one toilet was out of service. Inside the ship there was usually a line for the ladies room in the evenings. It was frustrating. There was also a sewage smell in the middle elevators and on some floors. I’m a nurse and am use to this smell and it was even too much for me to handle at times.

The cabin was fine. We were midship but could feel the vibrations pretty significantly. There is a sewage smells on some floors. Our AC did not get cold.
