Embarkation was excellent and we were onboard within about 15 minutes. The decor of the ship is impressive as was our cabin. As usual the crew were outstanding and so friendly.

Our only complaints were that there was no Wheelhouse Bar, no walkable promenade deck and too many activities in the piazza. This made our dining experience at La Mer very disappointing with the very loud band and people trying to sit at vacant tables near the walkthrough and the waiters having to ask them to leave unless they had a reservation. We did not try the Harmony Restaurant which was a separate dining room as La Mer should have been. The flow of the ship was disjointed and broken and trying to get around was at times confusing. We did think the Princess Theatre was very nice and the entertainment very professional. The gym was excellent with lots of cardio equipment. The dining room and Market place meals were all good. We were disappointed that the usually quiet and relaxing Vines Wine Bar was just like any other bar on the ship with people trying to grab all of the tables to put them together for their large and noisy groups. The Hollywood Conservatory being adults only was lovely and quiet. All in all a nice ship but just lacking some of the familiar ambiance of some of the older ships.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin BB

Small balcony but the rest of the cabin was fine. Pleased to see a large flat screen TV on the wall instead of in the corner on top of the fridge.

Port Reviews

Hobart

Enjoyed the hop on hop off bus, stopping off at the Cascade Brewery and in town. The area around the harbour is lovely as is the Salamanca area.

Port Arthur

Our Ghost Day Tour was good and our guide was excellent with all her ghost tales.
