We have a large family spread out among several states, but some of us always try to gather for Thanksgiving. Cruising is great because the women aren't stuck cooking all week! This was our first experience with NCL, and all 13 of us agreed, it would also be our last.
We were all so disappointed in the food. Too many dining options were an added cost, so it left us with little variety. The dining room food was mediocre at best, and wasn't even hot most nights. Aside from our cabin steward, service was terrible. We had one server for a table of 13 and it took about 2.5 hours every night for 3 courses. It also took so long to get drinks, anytime, anywhere. Hardly any waiters on deck, long lines at all of the bars. They are leaving TONS of money on the table here.
Activities left us very frustrated. Too many things we wanted to do had an extra cost or you had to sign up the previous day (and that wasn't communicated AT ALL). Too many of the kids activities like the water slides and rock walls were only open during limited hours which meant really long lines. This combination left us with bored kids. A LOT.
Cabin was good, clean. Our steward, Iris, was great!
