Our son chose this cruise to help them get away after a horrific year of enduring Hurricane Michael. They are a military family and had their home decimated and the base in which he is based was destroyed. We all needed to give their family a break. We made lemonade out of lemons. But it was just terrible.

Getting on board the person who registered us did not even know what she was doing. Before getting on board we had to go through the whole process again! I met other persons who had the same experience.

Whoever designed the cabins on this ship should never be employed again. Yes it was that bad. The shower and bathrooms had translucent doors so whoever entered the cabin or were in the cabin could see the person going to the bathroom or taking a shower. We had grandchildren in our cabin for the first 3 days and never had any privacy. We just hated it. Had I known about this before the cruise we would have never cruised NCL Epic.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Balcony

Cabin BA

In 37 years of cruising this was by far the worst due to the overall design of this ship. The cabin was a big part of this problem. Two translucent doors on both the bathroom and shower made it pretty intrusive. If you are traveling with children or another couple this cabin was a total nightmare. Was person who designed this on drugs??!! Where was the review process on this design? I mean really??!! The CEO should have inspected and known about this. Makes me wonder about the NCL leadership. Its not what you EXPECT, its what you INSPECT. I would like to see their CEO go on a cruise with 2 grandkids and 2 adults. This was just terrible. Never going on NCL in this life time again. The first NCL cruise was bad, this one was worse.
