Just returned from a 7 day cruise on the Marella Discovery 2. It was without doubt the best value we've had to date. The entertainment staff were close and personal throughout, with the daily shows all having a different theme which was very enjoyable, as the ship is of a medium size, there was no need to book to visit places on board and we very very rarely queued for anything. The food was great and varied, with everything I could see being fresh the ship was clean, but when dirtied by passengers was then quickly cleaned up. For a mid 90's ship it had been modified and brought up to date, and the excursions were as described. The cruise wasn't without it's issues, such as our time in Cuba being shorter than originally stated, and the queue to disembark was longer than anticipated (not TUI fault), but it's how it's dealt with that counts, and it was dealt with very well. I would highly recommend them.
