We wanted to do a family cruise for Thanksgiving week and this cruise exceeded our expectations! The staff was absolutely wonderful. The activities provided onboard offered something for everyone. We had side-by-side balcony cabins and were pleasantly surprised to find that the whole balcony partition(s) between the cabins could swing open and lock creating a very large balcony area for us to gather on. It was wonderful!
Ports: Princess Cay located on the south end of Eleuthera never disappoints. The sand and water are absolutely gorgeous! We always head out the back side of the Princess area to shop at the straw market to help support the local people. I love hearing their stories of life on the island. Falmouth, Jamaica - we did an excursion to Dunn's River Falls which turned out to be longer than expected due to accidents on the roads going there and back. Great port except for the very pushy sellers. Grand Cayman - absolutely beautiful! The water, like the Bahamas, is crystal clear and the beaches are beautiful. Cozumel, Mexico - best port for shopping. The sellers in the markets expect you to bargain so their first price is always really high. The beaches are not nearly as nice as Princess Cay or Grand Cayman.
Overall the cruise was fantastic. The food was excellent - we all had lobster for Thanksgiving dinner in the dining room, such a treat! - some of the boys ordered 2 entrees so their second was turkey with all the trimmings or a beef wellington - they said it was delicious. We had a first time Princess cruiser with us and he said that the customer service (and food) onboard was much better than Carnival, Royal Caribbean or Norwegian.
Absolutely beautiful beach and crystal clear water! Take the time to head outside Princess Cay to support the locals in their straw market.
Beautiful beaches!
