Chose the Regal Princess because she had Club Class Mini Suites that offered priority boarding, disembarkation, and Club Class dining! I usually don't deal well with crowds, so the process of embarkation was a concern going into the cruise. My wife and i took a shuttle from our hotel that dropped us off very close to the entrance to the cruise terminal which was thankfully easy to get into! The process of check-in and boarding the ship was less than 30 minutes, a comfortable time span for me! Once on board we went directly to our cabin which was cool clean, and bright. After a short walk-about checking the storage areas, bathroom and balcony we went to the Horizon Court buffet for something to eat. We were impressed with both the quantity and quality of the food. The atmosphere of the buffet was quiet and relaxed! The first night provided a comfortable rest that recharged us. We appreciated the bedding and mattress very much! The tender to Princess Cay was actually enjoyable, although it was sunny and hot! Our walk around the shops and lounging areas was fun, though we quickly decided to find some shade! We did make an effort to at least do a little wading before we decided to head back to the ship! My DW did not deal well with the heat on Princess Cay so we decided to stay aboard during the St Thomas port day. On a prior trip we did a walking tour of Charlotte Amalie, so we did not feel we were missing anything by not redoing that activity. For the rest of the cruise we were happy to take in some of the entertainment in the Piazza, enjoy each and every one of our meals in the Club Class dining room and the Horizon Court buffet. From time to time we took relaxing treks around the ship, just soaking in all that a cruise ship offers. We especially enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the evening watching the sunset and the ocean a it passed by! We are already looking into our next Princess Cruise, this time to Alaska in the Spring of 2019!!! That too will be a Bucket List check mark!!

First cruise, but NOT the last!!

Cabin M1 R-427
The cabin was outstanding. The bed was world class comfortable. The lighting was an added plus to the atmosphere of the cabin! Our steward kept us tidy and comfortable throughout the cruise!
