First had to wait 3 hours to board ship due to Coast Guard inspection of ship.Second,NCL put me on a cash only basis on the ship. This was due to a NCL foul up with my credit card at the pier at check in.Third there a NCL foul up with my shore excursions and it took 6 people to straighten it out. This really got my wife upset, The fifth day of the cruise she got a severe nose bleed and went to the ships medical facility. The doctor said it was caused by high blood pressure caused by these problems. The ships doctor could not completely stop the bleeding and said we will be sent to a local hospital for treatment and return to the ship. This did not happen. Briefly what happened my wife spent over 2 days in a hospital where no one spoke English and had to stay in a hotel where no one spoke English. An interperter was assigned to use to translate. They kept running all sorts of tests on my wife and she had no idea what they were. We had no contact with the outside world where we were which was Santa Marta, Columbia. This made for a very uncomfortable feeling, NCL had not given us any info as hoe to catch up with the cruise, We had to fly home from Santa Marta to Bogota to Miami to Charlotte to Greensboro,NC, 15 hours in transit. Bottom line is $3,000 medical bill from NCL and $9,000 for hospital, hotel, taxi, ambulance and air fare in Santa Marta. After 14 cruises with NCL I expected some more help than what I received.
