Arrived in Fort Lauderdale the day before sailing and stayed at the Sea Club resort. Weather was wonderful. Tuesday we arrived at the cruiseport at approx. 11am. I took the opportunity to upgrade to a Suite so we had VIP boarding which was very very nice. There is even cookies and juice supplied! At approx. 11:45 we began boarding the ship and headed straight up to the Lido deck for lunch. I also joined Cruise Critic message boards and all those that met via the boards had agreed to wear Mardi Gras beads to recognize each other and it didn't take long to greet each other. At 1:30pm we went to see our cabin, DH headed for the aft cabin he thought we had booked not knowing I'd upgraded! Surprise! The room was lovely, so spacious. The bathroom worth every cent! Right after muster we were invited to a sail away party and met more from the message boards, little did we know how much fun we would have with these people in the coming week. Dinner....we had late dining which I very much prefer but also spoke w/alot of people that did very well w/the anytime dining. We'd heard not so favorable reviews but they appear to be unfounded. Our head waiter Gabor and his assistant Josef were both from Hungary and absolutely made every meal a delight! One evening we chose to eat on the Lido deck and now very much regret it as we missed one evening of Gabors antics. We dined w/3 other couples and had a delightful experience each evening discussing the days events. The shows as always were very good. We enjoyed the ventriloquist and the comedian w/CP....they were funny. All the shows were wonderful. We closed down the ship Tuesday nite at Frankie & Johnny's, the band was amazing. Great dancing music. Thanks to all our CC friends for the great memories from that nite. Our port day in Costa Rica I opted for a 1 hour massage from Natalie from Australia....only 19 years old and such a professional. She did a marvelous job and I felt so relaxed and sad when it was over. We had a great conversation about all the interesting people she's met, it was really very nice. Debarkation was a breeze as we self assisted. At approx. 8:15am we went to the nearest elevator (yes it took a few mins) but we got one and went down to the gangway, checked our sail and sign cards for the last time and walked sadly off the ship and just like that our Miracle was over.

Cabin Review

I upgraded to a suite and was very pleased. The room was very spacious, the balcony was large enough for a recliner, 2 chairs and a small table. We very much enjoy sleeping with the balcony door open at nite and hear the water as we sail.

But the bathroom was the best of the best, double sinks, a full jacuzzi tub (which we unfortunately never used) There was also an adjoining vanity w/a double closet and more drawers for storage. The closets and drawers were very generous.

Our room stewardess was Ivalana and her assistant Mark, they were wonderful! We saw them a number of times each day and they always addressed us by name, asked how our day was going and wished us well. Both were so professional and personal at the same time. A real bonus to our week.
