Hours in line in the hot sun waiting to get on the ship without any communication from NCL was an unacceptable condition. Total confusion and chaos with 2300 people attempting to disembark based upon meanless time slots. Being directed to lines that go nowhere. We went home with a bad taste in our mouth. The on and off process is difficult but this cruise had no communication and control of the process. After the fact we learned that boarding of the ship was delayed due to a cost guard inspection. When herded into a very long line to board the only people who would talk to us were the local baggage handlers. We never heard an apology or an explanation from a NCL official.
This was our third cruise so we do not have the vast experience of the "professional" cruisers but my opinion of the food was there was not enough variations offered during the 14 day cruise. This was especially true in the main dining room. There we specials each day but the basics, 3/4 of the menu did not change.
desserts were too exotic for my tastes. I link old favorites and these were few and far between. There was pie on the main dining room menus only 2 of the 6 dinners we had there. I was able to get ice cream in the buffet cafe but for the last 7 days they did not have vanilla. (I don't consider sugar free vanilla as ice cream.)
Cabin was reasonably roomy. Very efficiently designed. We enjoyed the cabin.
