Just back from the Southern Caribbean cruise 2/13-2/20. We were in grand suite 1050 (next door to other poster) and had similar experience. Room was very nice, spacious, great balcony with table and two chairs. Putu, our excellent steward, brought two more chairs out.

What we liked: Adventure Ocean Club was great for kids. They loved all the activities, they also enjoyed the kids' pool. The Concierge Lounge was great. Gershwin was very helpful. Prior to his delayed arrival (snow/travel problems for him), Barbara from Guest Services ran the lounge and was equally helpful. The servers knew our drinks by the second night and kept them flowing. I know many people are upset that the diamonds have lost status on ships like Serenade that don't have diamond lounges, but we were on Radiance two years ago in a grand suite and the concierge lounge was much more crowded and we could rarely grab a seat. They opened up an overflow up on the top deck that year and it was nice, but I liked the experience better this year.

Also, we went up to the Hollywood Lounge every night to have a drink before dinner b/c my daughters were too young for the Concierge Lounge at cocktail time. They did charge cost minus 25% for mixed drinks, but I never spent any money there. The girls had sodas or shirley temples and I had wine or beer which were all free. So, again, a drop from other years, but not a shabby benefit. And the view up there leaving St. Lucia was out of this world.
