It was advertised as a Fall cruise to see the colorful foliage and experience the European ambiance of eastern Canada. It was scheduled way to late in the year. The color was long gone from the trees and it was awful weather, very cold, snowy, windy, rainy. Missed two ports because off the weather. Way too cold for shore excursions. We know Princess has no control over the weather but, they have 100% control in scheduling cruises.
Even more disappointing was the poor service in the MDR, not good entertainment, and a lack of stuff to do on the many sea days. We were confirmed for 6:00 PM traditional dining. Without notice, that was changed to 5:15....many unhappy passengers. Good thing we got earlier dining because it usually took two hours to get serviced. Appears the MDR staffing has been cut way back. The head waiter did not even bother to check with our table until the second week....only then because one of our party asked him why. Had to leave the MDR before desert several times to get a good seats in the theatre If you did not get there by 7:15 PM, there were no seats left. Theatre was way too small for the scheduled show times. We did not care for the production shows, not very entertaining, and most of the guest entertainers were not very good. There were no enrichment activities.
Some people really liked him but, I found the Cruise Director's demeaner and behavior to be very irritating.
