Embarkation was a nightmare in Tampa, with a delay that had us wait from noon till boarding at 6 pm. People were actually passing out and being carted off on stretchers, all supposidly because of a lengthy Coast Guard inspection. Heat and humidity and standing in line was a nightmare. However, the cruise found its stride soon after - and has proved its worth. Nice entertainment each evening. Magician, juggler, acrobats, Legends performers, even the house band was better than expected. No booming reggae band at poolside thank goodness. Food was very good throughout, from the buffet to dining rooms to specialty dining. All were ideal, though we had to have our steaks cooked a bit longer at Cagneys. The drink package is an overall good thing, one less thing to worry about. But the agreed upon prepaid gratuity does add up( $ 450 for two weeks), especially when we found ourselves hitting all the local spots at our port o calls. Dont mean to complain about this, but I will reconsider in the future. Some ports were a bit dicey with poverty / beggars ( Colombia - Guatemala ). Panama Canal was very educational. Our cabin (8544) was acceptable since we have actually had smaller ones, but many first timers will complain of the size. Overall a nice, pleasant, fun experience - and yes I would do it again.

Nice and Complete
