I booked the NCL Getaway solo, and stayed in a studio cabin. I thought a lot of my other friends were going to follow my lead with doing this for our graduation gift, but that wasn't how it ended up.

I had an amazing experience on the Getaway being solo (with the ultimate beverage package). I am a very outgoing person, and so were many others on that ship as well. The staff works incredibly hard to make sure you have the time of your life on the ship, and don't forget, it is also what you make it.

What made my trip so fun, at the end of everyday, was the never-ending pool parties up on the top deck everyday, some of the comedy shows, and especially the night life (ended at 2-230am usually). I was a little worried about finding things that would entertain a 22 year old such as myself, but then I found out there was no need to worry. I met a lot of great friends and people on this ship everyday, and it was large enough to where you would constantly see new faces, but also constantly see the same friendly faces to start up a conversation with.

Studio Stateroom

Certainly made for individuals traveling solo. It is a tight fit, with a queen bed.
