Firstly this was a 'journeys cruise' which basically means longer itineraries and ports not usual for carnival to visit.

As this was a straight 14 day cruise we expected it to be slightly different. The majority of people on this cruise were older then the usual mix found on carnival, in fact there were over 2000 platinum and diamond guests, hardened long life carnival cruisers, average age 60-80. It wasn't really noticible about the age group/demographic until you notice that by 11.30 most of them were in bed and the nightclub (usually rammed) had about 5 people in it! Even though this wasn't a standard carnival cruise we had a blast, 9 ports in 14 days.

The entertainment as always on carnival was fantastic, on sea days you were never short of something fun to do, the 'fun squad' were relentless in making this days go by with fun and laughter.
