An 11 day itinerary in the 'sun' (it actually rained a lot, but was warm) was the attraction. 4 x sea days (2 at each end) plus 6 ports (we'd only been to one of them before) looked good.
The voyage and ship did not disappoint. I really like the ship's layout - particularly the 'lawn' on Deck 14, aft.. The staff and crew - led by "Captain Kate" - were very forthcoming and entertaining. Very visible. Did not hesitate to talk to you if you saw them around.
I really think that Celebrity's food is above average. We cruised RCI two months ago, no comparison. Also, we had a dedicated sommelier for our section; he was great. Kept the glasses filled (often with wines that weren't on our "Classic" packag).
We were Concierge Class which came with some extra perks. You can argue the value of these versus the extra price, but we found it good value. We were deck 10, forward midships. The cabin is no larger, but decently laid out. The balcony had foot stools, which were a nice touch. The only complaint is the lack of storage compared to similar sized cabins on RCI, for example. Equinox is going in for a total refit in May, so perhaps the cabins will be changed.
We look forward to cruising on Equinox again.
