DH & I wanted to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary with our DD (35 years old) as she has never cruised before & we've been on 8 cruises. We've only been on Royal Caribbean ships. DD lives in Houston, so we chose LOS since it leaves from Galveston.

Embarkation: It was a breeze. We drove to the port & parked our car in one of the nearby lots. On the ship in no time at all (by 11:30 am!)

Food: We did my-time dining but were always put at the same table. I guess this is a new way of doing it as in the past, we wound up sitting in different tables with different people when we did my-time. Food in main dining room was good, as was the Windjammer. We got pizza from Sorentos practically every night & we loved it! The best meal was in Giavanni's as we celebrated our anniversary. We all got steaks & they were delicious. The service was impeccable. We had purchased the beverage package during one of the sales & it was $347 each. Well worth it for us :-) In addition to alcoholic beverages, we got specialty coffee every morning from the Cafe Promenade (the cafe americana & cappuccino were great!) and we often got a bottle of water when ordering drinks.
