We took the Hurtigruten Nordnorge southbound from Kirkenes to Bergen for six nights from 02/19/2018 to 02/24/2018. Our goal? To see the Northern Lights.
First off, the people at Hurtigruten in the U.S. were beyond helpful. We conversed for months planning our trip and excursions. By the time we booked, we felt comfortable we had made the right decisions and knew in great detail what we were doing. Their level of detail helped us immensely.
This was a GREAT trip. The size of the ship and number of passengers made it just right. It wasn't a cruise with thousands of people and that made it calm, quiet and personal. You didn't feel like you had to be in a hurry.
Cabin Review
Polar Outside: Outside Cabin...No great view, but it didn't matter. Why? With easy, fast access to the outside deck just one level above, you can be upstairs in like 60 seconds (literally). The Explorer Lounge on deck 7 is where you'll spend a lot of time with its panoramic view.
