My husband and I have sailed on Norwegian together 4 times before this cruise. We so love the Norwegian experience that I decided to put together a family cruise with my mother, my two daughters and their significant others, and my sister and her husband, so that they could have the same wonderful experience. My mother has cruised before on Carnival, as has my two daughters. My sister and her husband have never cruised before. Well, I have to say, they all now are converts to the Norwegian way of cruising! Everyone LOVED this cruise and couldn't stop raving about every aspect of it. I was thanked over and over for organizing this amazing vacation.

My family members were all impressed at the number and variety of dining options, entertainment offerings, and activities on board. We all went to Wine Lovers: The Musical, and found it so entertaining and informational! The lunch provided was tasty, and the various wines offered for tasting were very generous pours and very good. We all went back to our rooms for a nap afterwards! We all also went to Cirque Dreams and Stream, and were so impressed by the acrobatics and skill of the performers! It was awe-inspiring, with many audible gasps and "oohs and aahs" heard throughout the performances. The dinner served during the show was delicious. We all watched a Burn the Floor performance, and were very impressed by the professional level of dancing by all. We also watched a Howl at the Moon dueling pianos performance, and were laughing out loud at the interplay between the musicians and the audience, while being impressed by their skillful piano playing, drumming and singing. We all ate at different times at the various complimentary and specialty restaurants, as well as the buffet, and enjoyed every one of them. We enjoyed spending time at Spice H2O and the pool areas. We even got in touch with our inner child and went down the drop water slides! What a rush!! We also took part in the various dance classes and learned to Samba, Salsa, Merengue and Cha Cha! We tried our luck in the casino, played a little bingo, and my daughter and her boyfriend won the Perfect Couple challenge!

Our shore excursion experiences were amazing as well! The Chacchoben Mayan Ruins tour was amazing! Walking up to the pyramids in the middle of the jungle made us feel like we were on the set of an Indiana Jones movie. It was so surreal and beautiful! Harvest Caye was gorgeous! My husband and I spent the day in a private pool cabana with my mother, while the others went off on reef snorkeling and Monkey River tour outings. The pool was beautiful! It had a swim-up bar, with tables and seating in the water nearby. It was a wonderful way to spend a hot sunny day! My favorite excursion of all time was Salsa & Salsa in Cozumel! What a fantastic time we had! We learned how to make margaritas (while constantly sipping on one in a consistently full glass!), three different types of salsa, and guacamole. We tasted our masterpieces with the cheese quesadillas, taquitos, and corn chips provided. Afterwards we took part in a Salsa dance lesson, followed by an awards ceremony. Our instructors were fun and energetic and made it a great experience. The waiters kept our glasses full, and were circling around, cleaning up and attending to our every need. This was by far the highlight of my cruise, which is saying a lot, because every other aspect was phenomenal!

Cabin Review

Oceanview Stateroom with Large Picture Window

Cabin OA

Our room was very spacious and had plenty of storage areas. I liked that the closet was out in the open in the middle of the room and not partially blocked by the bed, as in the balcony and mini-suite cabins. The picture window was quite large and looked out onto the bow of the ship. The staff lounging deck was also visible. The room was well organized and contained the basic necessities - soap, lotion, shower gel, shampoo, blow-dryer, safe, refrigerator, etc. My one and only wish were for it to include a coffee maker, as in the balcony rooms and above. Despite this, it was a great room!
