I wanted to go on a cruise to somewhere most people haven't gone. We chose Cuba and Norwegian Cruise Line which is the best value for the money. Boarding was easy and all the crew were super friendly. Our cabin was clean but small (inside cabin) and next cruise we'll get at least an ocean view cabin. Although the ship had a couple of specialty restaurants (you pay more for these on ship) the other restaurants and bars were fabulous. There was never a long wait to get a drink and all but top shelf were free. There were plenty of things to do to keep you busy.

NCL helped us plan our tours of Havana and obtain the necessary paperwork for our tours. We visited their private island in the Bahamas and the water was multi shades of blue. I had never seen water like that before. The drinks were just as good as on the ship but the food was so-so. I expected a BBQ but got hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken, and corn on the cob. I was told there would be ribs but there were not. I took one of their tours on the island but would have preferred to just hang out on the beach.

There was never any problems with the transfers, luggage, and boarding or disembarking. Would I go on another NCL cruise? We're booked for our next cruise to Belize in April of 2019. Go with NCL; you'll never be disappointed!

Cabin Review

Inside

Cabin IF

The cabin was small but still comfortable. They say it will sleep 3 with the pull out sofa but we would have been tripping all over ourselves. And, the couple in the main bed would have had a heck of a time getting to the bathroom in the middle of the night.

Port Reviews

Miami

No problerm getting to the ship or boarding.

Havana

A little more walking than what I would have wanted but it was fun.
