We had excellent service from the time we checked in at the dock until the time we walked off the ship. The ship is beautifully appointed as all the S class ships are. One addition to this ship was La Petite Chef at the Qsine site. Although we would probably only do this once, it is well worth that one time, very entertaining and the food is great. Our cruise had an ambitious itinerary with only 2 days at sea out of a 12 night cruise. The ports were great choices and we chose to stay on the ship at one port we had previously spent time in. Our first stop was Valencia and we stayed on the ship, second was the town of Alicante and it was easy to get a shuttle to the end of the port and then pick up HOHO bus right there (discounted for seniors). The Santa Bárbara Castle sits above the city and the bus was able to navigate very narrow roads to the top, it is well worth the price of the bus just for this view. Another stop we made was at the Central Market, a great place to stop. Our next port was Malaga and we had chosen a private excursion to go to Granada and visit the Alhambra. Totally amazing. Every port had something unique and interesting to explore. The restaurants on board were fantastic and never disappointed us. The thing that stands out for us on Celebrity is the quality of service and how much the staff is committed to making sure you have a great holiday.

Fantastic ship on a fantastic itinerary

Cabin Review

Sky Suite
Cabin S1 8336
Cabin is really large with a balcony that wraps around the back of the ship, with floor to ceiling glass doors and a large porthole. The bathroom had a large tub.

  • Alhambra Palace and Gardens
The tour was simple to book online and we received the necessary information well before our excursion. We were met on time at the port and Debbie was effiencent and personable in sorting out the participants and seeing everyone loaded on the buses, Debbie was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the area we were traveling through and offered fascinating bits of history and facts about the area of Andalusian for two hours. At the Alhambra Palace and Generalife Gardens we met our guide Danny, who managed all of our tickets and bypassed extremely long lines there. Danny supplied us with headsets which we were a little skeptical about initially but proved valuable with multiple sound sources and languages being spoken all around us. Danny was a wonderful guide to introduce us to the beauty of this incredible maze of stately halls and ornate courtyards decorated by rows of elegant arches, bubbling fountains and splendidly carved decorations. We saw the Palace of Charles the 5th, an outstanding example of Spanish Renaissance architecture, and the Alcazaba fortress with its Torre de la Vela tower offering spectacular views of Granada. We had time for a quick lunch in Granada where on the advice of Danny we tried the local bean dish with the aged ham, so delicious! Most people slept on the two hour trip which returned us to the ship in plenty of time. We highly recommend this tour with Spain Day tours/TopDay tours

  • Amalfi Coast
Caesar, our driver, picked up our small group of 8 at the pier in Naples. On our beautiful coastal ride along the base of Mount Vesuvius Caesar shared interesting and informative facts about the history of the region. Our first stop was a beautiful area above Sorrento at a limoncello factory for some very potent samples! We continued onto the amazing town of Positano. We had the opportunity to take some amazing photos from the view point over looking Positano and then explored the central Piazza dei Mulini, connected to a narrow downhill path and a few flights of steps that lead to the oceanfront. Along the way there were many delightful shops to explore along the way to the ocean. Positiano is an amazing little town built onto the cliff side.
We continued our trip along the coast to the village of Amalfi, which is also built onto the cliff side right on the coast. The Piazza Duomo was amazing and beautiful and we climbed the steps to the top. Amalfi also had many quaint and original shops and restaurants to enjoy. The coast of Amalfi has numerous opportunities for great photographs and views. The final stop was the village of Ravello. It is on top of a mountain cliff and has lovely gardens and lots of cats! There were many shops with the local ceramics, artwork and a small limoncello factory for tastings. Our driver returned us to the ship in a timely fashion even through rush hour traffic. We very highly recommend this tour group to visit this amazingly beautiful part of Italy.

We had been to Rome previously and knew that we wanted to devote most of out time there at the private Borghese museum and Piazza Navona for lunch which was all we had hoped for in our planning. This museum is so amazing.

  • Villefranche
We booked with Riviera Premium Tours online for a group of four of us on a Mediterranean cruise. We had contacted Jerome via email several months before our trip and booking the trip went very smoothly via email. We had previously traveled to Nice and had a private tour, but we wished to return to spend more time at St Paul de Vence.

Jerome was right there to meet us at the port in Villefranche as we disembarked the tender, made us feel very welcome, and very quickly began our tour. As we began our tour Jerome offered very fascinating and informative facts and history about the area we were traveling through.

He thought we would enjoy the antique market in Nice, in addition to our visit to Saint Paul de Vence. It was lovely and we had a great time visiting this area of the town, which none of us had seen before, and the antique market was enchanting. We also enjoyed the promenade and the fountain. Jerome was early to meet us to continue on our trip to Saint Paul de Vence. Along the way Jerome continued with wonderful facts and history of the areas we were passing. When we arrived at our second stop Jerome recommended that we make reservations for lunch as restaurants would become crowded quite quickly and made a recommendation for a local restaurant.

We went to the restaurant he suggested, I made a reservation, and then we proceeded to tour the beautiful town with amazing artwork and visited the grave of Marc Chagall. We returned to the restaurant for lunch and had one of the best meals of our journey there.

We proceeded to Eze for a shorter visit and on the way back took a tour to view Monaco and Cap Ferrat ,returning to the ship in plenty of time. Some of the roads we took during our journey were along cliffsides and very narrow roads but we always felt that our safety was of greatest concern to Jerome.

Jerome was charming and knowledgeable; it was a genuine pleasure touring with him. We could not recommend him higher.
