My wife and I chose this cruise on the recommendation of friends who had been previously on this ship. To start with the food was at best fair. My meal on Sunday evening was inedible. Both staff and clientele were found to be very rude. Getting a straight answer from any crew was almost impossible. Many inconsistencies--for example, drinks were priced differently at different bars. Some were different at the same bar but different nights. We never knew what to expect. Service at Eataly was superb. Unfortunately the food was not what one would expect at a specialty restaurant. Compared to other cruise lines, this one left a lot to be desired. On occasions in the buffet there were no plated and silverware. Upon mentioning this to an officer, he just walked away. Entertainment seemed very much geared to a European clientele. Toe foreign gentlemen singing Tina Turner with an accent was a bit much!! If MSC is tying to attract the American cruiser then it really needs to bring its level of service up to that of lines such as Royal Caribbean and Celebrity. No thanks MSC!!!

Terrible food and poor service
