Hello everyone. I want you to think twice before booking a cruise with Carnival Cruise Line. I recently cruised with them for the first time on 11/2/18 on the Carnival Sunshine. It was my wife’s and I honeymoon. We got married last year and booked the cruise back in March but could not cruise until November because we are on a strict budget. The cruise was good until we woke up on our 3rd morning. My wife was getting ready for the day and woke me up in a frenzy as our cabin began to flood. She was petrified, as she has never been on a cruise, but knows water on a boat is never a good sign. I hopped out of bed and noticed our room was starting to flood from the bathroom. It was very disgusting. There was all sorts of nasty floating in the water(they mentioned it was Grey & Black water). I called guest services right away and was told repairmen are in route to our room. We were told to come up to guest services. Upon arriving at guest service I was told to go to breakfast while they work on the problem, and to come back to guest service after breakfast. After breakfast we went back to guest services and I was told “that was a fast” and they were still working on the issue. 2 hours later the found us a room because the cruise was sold out. So I was told I had to go back to the room and pack everything up so we can get our new room. When I got back to our flooded room the door was propped open water was flooding out into the hallway, and no one was watching our room. Upon inspecting / repacking everything up in almost ankle high water I noticed my iPad that was on the bed was missing. So I ran back to guest services yet again and reported this. I mentioned to them the door was wide open and no one was watching my belongings as my wife and I were shuffled off elsewhere while they fixed the broken pipe in the wall. Long story short our honeymoon was ruined by this, guest services did nothing for us on the boat. We were told many times we had to call guest services about “our issues”. When we finally got off the ship and I called customer services all they could offer me and my wife for our troubles and a stolen iPad was $100 onboard credit
