After spending this past week on the Pearl, I can tell you it is NOT handicap friendly. I have a scooter (Pride) and luckily I can walk some.

I love being able to go out on the deck, ride around a few times (meet people, rest, check out the sights, etc) and normally there is a door or two (or more) that has a sensor to allow me the ability to do this without having someone open the door for me. Only on the 12th deck (pool, food) was there a sensor.

I was stuck inside this ship unless my husband was with me to open the doors.!!..I felt trapped. Even though there were handicap door plates to push, they did not work. When I inquired about it, I got an excuse they were lock because of the wind and safety. That is nothing but an excuse since they were never unlocked.
