The view from Northstar

Wanted to try a new cruise line. We were attracted by the departure port and the variety of activities. We were not disappointed! Embarkation was a breeze. We had a Grand Suite (lowest end of Sky Class). Lovely room, although the brown color scheme was dull. Great to have a separate space from our daughters, wonderful bathroom—full size with two sinks and full size tub/shower. Nice big balcony. Concierge got us reservations for every activity and dinner we asked for. Concierge lounge was a great place for a free cocktail before dinner and nice hot d’oeu. Activities were great, from bumper cars to roller skating to escape room to iFly and more. Spectra’s Cabaret was cool, some sections stronger than others. We Will Rock You is very silly but fun, with some seriously talented performers. We skipped TheGift. Food was very good overall, some misses but more hits. Appreciated the international selection at Windjammers and the wide array of free food available at off hours. Service was very friendly and thorough almost without exception. A great experience!!

Port Reviews

King's Wharf

We went to St. George’s. Beautiful historic town. Took the ferry which is a pleasant, scenic and affordable way to travel. Took the bus back—easy, cheap, and the coastal route is beautiful!

Boston

We love Boston but live near enough that it is not a very exciting destination. Also, the terminal couldnt be in a less attractive location. Nonetheless, we did get off the ship to go to the Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum, a wonderful living history museum about a ten minute cab ride from the port.
