This was our first Ocean Cruise on Viking. We have absolutely no complaints - everything went per plan and exceeded our expectations. We went on a few of the Viking excursions but chose to purchase private excursions for Barcelona, Florence, Rome and Venice. Due to stormy weather, our captain chose to bypass Naples so we had an additional day at sea. We only had one day (Monte Carlo) where we had to use the tender boats to shore. Our cabin was excellent but didn't have enough storage space. In the future, we would probably upgrade from the Deluxe Veranda to the Penthouse Veranda. We got most of the Viking excursions that we wanted but by upgrading I'm sure we would have been able to get them all. It was very easy to schedule additional reservations at Manfredi's while on board. I would recommend to everyone to pack light since the Viking ships have free laundry facilities and also provide inexpensive overnight laundry services.
