The ship underwent a refurb in 2018 and the results were nice.
Very bad weather hit Rome & we spent first 2 days in port near Rome. Ship's captain & crew did great job of insuring our safety and making the best of a bad situation. Winds of 77 kts in port broke the mooring line & Pursuit broke free from dock. Crew performed like pros to keep us safe. Rough seas throughout much of our cruise.
Eating in main dining room (Discovery) was very good. We tried "Prime" which was not worth the 30 euro/person surcharge. Paying to eat same food basically as main dining room. We were invited to the captain's dinner which was excellent.Lot of menu options in the dining areas, great buffet also.
Response from BonnieM, CBO - Azamara Club Cruises
Cabins were pleasant, showers were tiny! For some luck of the draw, we got cabin 4000 port side, ocean view, most forward. Two things became apparent--in rough the weather which we experienced it became very bouncy, there was a crew entrance/exit door next to us which banged all night long. Avoid this cabin like the plague. There was a very strong mildew odor near this crew door. The bedding is very comfortable, toiletries are average at best. Our cabin stewards were great throughout.
