For a long time I wanted to visit the Scandinavian countries/capitals and The Amber Room @ Hermitage (St. Petersburg). This cruise was the perfect fit. I was not that concerned with what boat we were on, but what the itinerary was. Luckily for us, we liked the ship enough to enjoy the whole vacation!

Embarkation and disembarkation was pretty smooth. In: Enough processing people that even with long waiting lines, the time it took us to board was very acceptable. We chose to embark toward the beginning of the schedule.

As a result, after the boarding we went and eat, got accustomed with the ship, and only after that the room was ready for us. The room was OK. The bathroom was very small, of course, but bigger than what I expected.

Cabin Review

Balcony

We had a semi-obstructed view cabin.

I had a problem with the cleanliness of the room/bathroom. I did not plan to check the quality of the work our steward did, but I noticed that some cuticles I threw on the floor of the room (at the beginning of our trip) were still there at the end of the trip. What aggravated me the most was the stink in the bathroom; I highly doubt that the toilet was even touched once while we were on board for the whole 10 days (except at the beginning). On the other hand I did not say anything to anybody, not even the steward. Too bad that out of the bulk tips I paid with the account, some got to the steward- he did not deserve any!
