Viking Kara Cruise Review by TimH99
- Sail Date: September 2018
- Destination: Europe River
- Cabin Type: Veranda Stateroom
We enjoyed pretty much everything about our cruise. The staff was amazing, the ports were varied and interesting, and the excursions were fun and educational. And don't get me started on the food. Made some great friends and fortunately were able to walk off most of the calories.
The only hitch came when they switched our ship from the Hjin to the Kara shortly before our departure date due to low river levels. But as far as we could tell, it made no real difference. Our trip was everything we had hoped for and more.

City TourThis was probably our least-favorite moment in retrospect, only because our guide had us standing more than walking, which is really tough on the body. There was a sign near the hotel that said "6 minutes to city center," and it took us nearly an hour. He was informative, but most of the information he imparted was really arcane stuff about building structure and materials. If we were all engineers it would have been fascinating; as it was, all it did was wear us out and make the rest of the day harder to endure.View All 130 City Tour Reviews
