This is my second time on the Western Caribbean cruise period first time on Liberty of the Seas. I picked this boat because it was similar to Freedom of the Seas which was a great experience. The amount of people on this boat was perfect for me. I like that we didn't have to reserve the shows and there was enough to do to keep us busy. Usually loading the boat is easy and fast but in our case there was a delay because of a passenger coming off and an unplanned screening of luggage. But we got on the boat in time for a great lunch and relax by the pool. The weather was wonderful even though it was late October early November. I love this dining room so much more beautiful than the Oasis Dining Room. We went on the water slides and they were really fun. The shows were very entertaining and the crowds were manageable. Cruise director was very funny. Not many sales in the Promenade as I have seen in the past. The majority of people were from Texas and it was a very quiet subdued retirement crowd which was fine with me as I am a retirement person. This is not a cruise for party central people who are looking for a rocking loud party atmosphere.
Cabin bed was very comfortable and we had a quiet night sleep every night. Not much rocking on this boat as in the past we slept very comfortably. We usually order a foam topper for the bed but they do not supply those anymore. Reason we were told because they cannot wash them.
In Roatan we took a taxi to Bananarama on the west side. Cost was about $45 and they also picked us up.$10 each at Bananarama getting a chair on the beach. Warm water beautiful weather you could also get a bite to eat we had some great fish tacos.
Not much to see in Costa Maya. We took a taxi to 40 cannons at the end of the beach. The water was warm but not as blue as most Caribbean beaches a little bit of seaweed but not bad.
We rented a scooter for what they said was $45 of course once you got on the scooter they charge you another $20 saying for gas. We rent around half of the island. Nice views but not many places to stop. shopping was good restaurants were excellent but I thought they were overpriced for Mexico. That's data
