Ship seemed overbooked but Princess managed to pack everyone in somewhere.
Shore excursions were barely organized mob scenes. Interesting places visited but the best had no crowd control (not the fault of Princess) and prevented a good experience.
Buses seemed smaller than experienced on other cruise shore excursions. Many struggled to get on and off. Surprised some booked an excursion at all. I especially did not like that half day excursions included more than an hour in a shopping district. I know many want to shop for gifts but was not my primary reason for taking this trip. Would have preferred seeing additional points of interest.
First night dinning in assigned dinning room was disappointing. Tried ordering a bottle of wine to share but first three wines selected from the wine list were not in stock. Finally shown a hand written list of what they did have and selected from that. Future evenings went better. Servers were great and helped us make suitable selections from what was available.
No anytime dinning room option (evenings) except buffet and specialty dinning rooms (with reservations and surcharge)
Fitness center adequately equipped but the room was very warm and almost like exercising in a sauna
Many of the crew were awesome and saved the day.
Weather after leaving Japan was mostly good in spite of being in the middle of typhoon season.
Cabin was better than expected. Cabin steward was great.
Explored downtown shopping
