I would not recommend this cruise out of New York on the Breakaway. A lack of communication, a highly over worked crew, a pitiful number of staff for a vessel with 4000 passengers and over crowding are only a few of the problems we encountered.

After 12 previous cruises on Celebrity, Royal, and Princess, I can say that this was the worst by far.

The specialty restaurants are exceptional in product and service, but the complimentary (Manhattan, Savor, and Taste) dining rooms were very slow to serve. Often orders came just warm and at times with the wrong items. Lack of staff was the cause.

Cabin Review

Balcony Stateroom

Cabin BD

The cabin was clean and well maintained. The 1 room attendant (had no assistant) worked diligently and was friendly. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. the washroom, like most cruise cabins, was small but serviceable. If you want a larger washroom get the mini suite. The balcony was large enough for two chairs and a small table. Excellent location on the ship to reach buffet for morning coffee!
