Grand Princess Pacific Northwest Sail date Oct 7 to Oct 14

This was my first time on a Princess ship – they do try to make it like the Love Boat show, don't they.

Bon Voyage lunch

Cabin Review

Oceanview (obstructed view)

Cabin OW

Window view was satisfactory. Photo attached. There are pods visible below that hold life rafts. Once I saw a crew member walk by. First night, there were bright lights on all night but the window shade obliterates that. For an obstructed view, it was good.

Port Reviews

San Francisco

Limited time? I'd visit SF MOMA or with kids, Exploratorium. Walking the Waterfront is nice. North Beach is nearby.

Seattle

DIY Excursion

Metro bus to Seattle Center

Space Needle- clear weather, nice views, esp the level below where it rotates. Friendly hosts who snap photos you can later retrieve online with your ticket number.

Chihuly Gardens- stunning, audio tour available online

Monorail to Mall

walked to

Pike's Place Market- saw some fish throwing

appreciate the Info people in bright vests giving directions, tips and ready to hand you a map.

Metro bus- good system, $2.75 with timed transfers

Victoria

Very walkable. Slower paced city. Enjoyed seeing all the horses

Astoria, Oregon

Very walkable. We took the shuttle because one of us is 92 and doesn't walk like she used to.

Columbia Maritime Museum is recommended, and visit the lighthouse boat docked in front
