To do a Panama Canal cruise we chose the Island Princess. We were expecting superior food and entertainment. What a let down. The quality of the food in the buffet area was Golden Corral quality and, other than pizza and over cooked burgers, no other options for lunch. Carnival, which may people still have the false belief that it is way too wild, has so many options at so many times of the day (Guys Burgers, Taste Bar, Sushi, Mexican, bbq just to name a few). The evenings were morgue-like and small areas for music or other entertainment were basically non-existent. For us it will be Carnival, RCCL or Norwegian in the future. Princess is over priced and over hyped. We always have so much fun on these lines so why pay more for an inferior product? Looking forward to cruising again next year with our entire family and, once again, leaving satisfied.
Balcony cabin was roomy and nice. The shower was amazingly small. Great cabin steward. She kept it clean and was very timely. The beds and bedding were great. Large screen tv was awesome.
This educational excursion was enjoyable. We saw various animals and learned about the banana plantations and coffee industry. Our guide was very knowledgeable.
