We chose this cruise because of the stops in Key West and Havana. We were somewhat leary because of the reviews that we had read over the last year. My wife and I have cruised previously and never had a bad experience. This one was the same. Yes an older ship but in good condition. It was clean, the food was good (main dining room) and the staff by inlarge were terrific. The boarding and getting off were easy and Tampa was a great port to sail out of.

As far as excursions we did the Hemingway Tour in Key West, booked our own tour with Old Car Tours in Havana and an excursion in Cozumel. The walking tour guide in Key West was horrible as he wouldn’t shut up and the tour said Hemingway’s house and Sloppy Joes bar where Hemingway hung out. The guide took us on a 11/2 hour walk through some residential areas on the way to Hemingway’s. When we finally got to Sloppy Joes he said, there it is and left.

Our car tour of Havana was excellent and 1/3 the price that the cruise ship charged.

Cabin Review

Junior Suite

Cabin J3

For an older ship the cabin was a good size with lots of storage. The room was clean and the large bathroom with a full sized tub was a nice surprise.

Port Reviews

Havana

We toured Havana in a 1955 Chevy Belair convertible. We had the driver and a tour guide for a third of what the ship wanted to charge. The tour was terrific.

Cozumel

The tour was well organized and the girls that ran the experience were knowledgeable and entertaining.
