This was our 3 rd time cruising with norwegein and it was a nightmare from start to finish . embarkation .... We had time slot of 11.30 am but when we arrived at Manhattan cruise terminal it was a shambles as the breakaway was returning from Europe customs had to check the whole ship thus holding up embarkation and restocking of ship with the knock on effect of not sailing away till after 6pm instead of 4pm

We booked in the UK so our gratuitys were all included but if you weren't flashing dollars at bar staff it was rather difficult to be served at and bar I did feel sorry for the poor guy behind bar on H2O (adult only outside bar) he was on his own for the biggest part of the day and was always busy and full of smokers ....

I have never seen so many wheelchairs walking aids and scooters it was horrible trying to manouvor around them . Due to a second medical emergency the ship had to change course while I appreciate that was out with Norwegian hands their reaction was terrible scenes of chaos thousands of passengers trying to get online to rebook onward transport with absolutely no assistance or mention of compensation (we are almost £2000 out of pocket between cancelled and rebooking flights overnight accommodation meals and loss of earnings being a over 24 hours late home ) Read more
