We had a great vacation on the Carnival Sunshine. There were some bumps along the trip, but not enough to impact our vacation. The boat had just completed a two week dry dock, so it is normal to find issues after preventative maintenance. There was flooding on one floor which was addressed and taken care of immediately. We had electrically issues requiring us to stay in San Juan six additional hours. This resulted in cancelling Grand Turk. Carnival was quick to refund each passenger their port fees and an additional $50 per person on our Sign and Sail cards. While this may not seem like a lot to some, I would rather the Captain error on the side of safety than take any risks. The boat is showing her age with a good deal of rust and wear and tear showing up on the vessel. The staff was excellent and Mikey the Cruise Director is fantastic. His energy level is beyond measure and he worked hard to ensure that everyone had a great time.
