Due to low water levels our itinerary was revised and we were not able to continue along The Rhine and Moselle rivers ending at Basel, Switzerland. We turned around after Cologne, Germany, stopped in Düsseldorf, Antwerp, Ghent, and Bruges, Belgium which were all beautiful spots. We then went back to Holland with stops and visits to Delft, The Hague, Rotterdam, Utrecht, and Edam ending back in Amsterdam. The crew did an amazing job communicating changes and amending the itinerary with great new destinations. Tours were more limited but we still had an amazing trip with excellent service and met many wonderful people that made the cruise a memorable vacation. Food options were many with great breakfast buffets but also the option to order from the menu a la carte. Lunches also had menu selections, salad bars, as well as a station that changied every day. I loved all the wellness classes on board that changed daily (ie. stretching, yoga, Pilates, Zumba, core strengthening) and the free happy hours every day. Entertainment was limited but they did have some entertainment come on board. We had a room with a balcony and also a French balcony and the size was good. I would highly recommend cruising with AMA Waterways for their professionalism and high quality service and standards.
Our cabin was nice and we liked the top floor location.
